Community
Mental Health Affiliates offers a comprehensive benefits
package to employees working 20 or more hours
per week. Payroll deductions for these benefits are done on
a pre-tax basis in order to lower the employee's taxable income.
MEDICAL
and DENTAL
CMHA offers a full
range of benefits for our employees, which is partially
contributory. Employees working 20-29 hours per week are
also eligible for medical and dental. Coverage begins the
first day of the month following 60 days of employment, and
coverage for both medical and dental is extended to
employees and their families.
DISABILITY:
SHORT TERM and LONG TERM - Available for employees
scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week
After a waiting
period of one year of employment, this benefit, which is
paid in full by the agency, offers an employee who is
disabled by a physician due to a non-work related injury or
illness supplemental income until they are ready and able to
return to work.
LIFE
INSURANCE/AD&D - Available for employees scheduled to
work 30 or more hours per week
Effective the
first day of the month following 30 days of employment, this
benefit which is paid in full by the Agency offers employees
life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment
insurance at 2 ½ times their annual salary to a maximum of
$100,000. Employee paid supplemental coverage offered for
employee and family.
PAID
VACATION TIME
All
benefits eligible employees accrue paid vacation starting
from their first day of employment. Accrued on a monthly
basis, new employees start off with 16 days of vacation, and
build up one additional day per year to a maximum of 26 days
per year. Effective July 1, 2005 employees scheduled to
work 20-29 hours per week will receive prorated vacation
time.
PAID
SICK TIME
All benefits
eligible employees accrue paid sick time starting from their
first day of employment. Accrued on a monthly basis, new
employees earn a total of 10 days per year, and can bank
these days to a total of 480 hours. Effective July 1, 2005
employees scheduled to work 20-29 hours per week will
receive prorated sick time.
403(b)
This generous benefit offers employees the opportunity to
invest, on a pre-tax basis, into this plan. Employees taking
advantage of this voluntary contribution also receive a
company match of $.50 on the dollar to a maximum of 3%. In
addition, the agency will make a contribution of 4% of
annual earnings regardless of employee contributions.
DEPENDENT DAY CARE
Available for employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours
per week, effective the first of the month following 30 days
of employment. You may elect up to $5,000.00 annually as tax
deferred contributions for dependent care. This benefit
allows you to pay certain dependent care expenses with
tax-free dollars.
HEALTH FLEX SPENDING
Available for employees scheduled to work 30
or more hours per week, effective the first of the month
following 30 days of employment. In this plan you may elect
tax deferred contributions up to $3,000.00 annually to be
used for unreimbursed out of pocket medical, dental and
vision expenses incurred by you and your dependents.
