CMHA is pleased to announce that Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell has appointed CMHA President & CEO Raymond J. Gorman to the state’s Commission on Nonprofit Health and Human Services. The Commission is responsible for assessing health and human service provision in Connecticut and addressing long-term funding solutions for private nonprofit health care providers. Gorman possesses extensive knowledge of state health care policy, having served as Commissioner of the state Office of Health Care Access, as well as Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
“There are so many uncertainties and challenges facing health and human services providers today, and I am honored to accept Governor Rell’s appointment to this important Commission,” Gorman said. “I am confident that my fellow appointees and I will work diligently to meet the objectives of this legislation and provide insight and guidance to the Executive and Legislative branches on issues facing non-profit providers.”
