| CMHA Receives $25,000 from Walmart Foundation |

CMHA received a $25,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation to enhance the health and quality of life for children in our intensive outpatient programs in New Britain and Waterbury.
The donation will support Child & Family Services' Afterschool Snack program and Backpack for Nutrition weekend program. Children in the After School program will benefit from nutritious after-school snacks, oftentimes the last “meal” of the day for those who receive no evening meal at home. Backpack for Nutrition each week provides children backpacks full of healthy, family-friendly food to sustain children and their families over the weekends when they do not have access to the school free lunch program.
