Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
(PTSD) Program for Adolescent Girls

The PTSD
Program is located at the Child Guidance Clinic and targets
adolescent girls aged 13 to 17 who have suffered from traumas
such as violence, rape, physical or sexual abuse or witnessing
violence. The program utilizes a Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment
model, supplemented, where appropriate, with medication. It
is guided by gender specific and trauma sensitive intervention
strategies. The program is partially supported by the United
Way. Treatment is provided by Licensed Clinical Social Workers
or Licensed Family Therapists trained in trauma work.
