Alliance Treatment Center (ATC) is an 18-bed residential facility that helps individuals who are experiencing substance abuse problems by providing comprehensive services to assure effective, individualized treatment for men and women. ATC's Intensive Residential Treatment program offers assessment and individual, group and family therapy by a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, LCSWs and clinical and support staff trained in chemical dependency treatment. Treatment addressess the bio-psycho-socio-spiritual disease process and is individualized to our client's needs. We refer clients onto other appropriate levels of care within our affiliate structure to continue the recovery process with both formal and informal supports.
Latino/Latina Substance Abuse Program (LLSA) 55 Winthrop Street, New Britain, CT 06052 (860) 224-8192 LLSA is funded by the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to provide culturally appropriate addiction services to Latina/o clients residing in the New Britain area. Staffed completely by bicultural clinicians, this outpatient program provides services to clients 18 and older who are dealing with serious substance abuse problems. Staff utilizes evidence-based treatments such as Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, and trauma sensitive services to assist clients in their recovery. Clients and clinicians develop treatment and recovery goals, which are achieved through group, individual and family modalities.
Staff is trained in the treatment of substance abuse disorders and is fully bilingual, and all staff is supervised by a Licensed Clinician. Services are provided within the context of a larger service system, so that referrals for other needed services can be facilitated.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Co-Occurring Disorders 55 Winthrop Street, New Britain, CT 06052 (860) 224-8192 IOP provides behavioral health services to those individuals with serious mental illness and substance abuse. The program runs for 4 hours a day, minimum 3 days a week, and is offered to those individuals who would benefit from a structured treatment setting. The IOP focus is to reduce symptoms, improve overall functioning, prevent loss of independent or supportive living arrangements, prevent relapse and/or reduce substance use, and avoid hospitalization. Services are provided according to a treatment plan developed by the client with his or her clinician and psychiatrist. Psychiatric Services, medication management and coordination of care is available to all clients, along with step down services. IOP also offers Buprenorphine Maintenance.
IOP utilizes evidenced based practices such as Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Trauma Sensitive programming, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. Services are provided directly by CMHA staff, in collaboration with other CMHA programs, other behavioral health care providers in the immediate and surrounding communities, the consumer’s natural support systems and with the consumers themselves.

Substance Abuse Action Council (SAAC) 92 Vine Street, New Britain, CT 06052 (860) 826-4985 SAAC is a 65-member public/private coalition advocating for substance abuse prevention, treatment, and recovery in Connecticut. The team assesses the needs of communities, develops and coordinates prevention, treatment and recovery services, and carries out public awareness, information dissemination, community mobilization, and advocacy to achieve goals. SAAC members range from elected officials, police, and business leaders to concerned citizens and parents.
Family Based Recovery Click here to see this program featured on the WVIT-NBC 30 news! 26 Russell Street, New Britain, CT 06052 (860) 223-2788 The Family Based Recovery Program is an in home service program which provides family recovery and substance abuse treatment to families who have identified substance abuse issues and a child(ren) under 2 years old in the home. The program also provides individual, family and group therapy and child attachment treatment. Clinicians work with child behavioral issues, housing, transportation and other basic needs of families. Services are provided between the hours of 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and crisis team coverage is also provided.
