The Importance of African American Women in Leadership

The Diversity Committee recently hosted its annual Black History Month event, and this year's topic centered around the importance of African American women in leadership. The event featured our keynote speaker and CMHA Board Member, Veronica T. DeLandro, who shared insights on the remarkable contributions and impact of African American women in leadership roles.

The event was an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn about the vital role that African American women have played in shaping our society and to reflect on the progress that has been made in terms of equality and representation. It was also a great reminder that there is still much work to be done to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their race or gender, have access to the same opportunities and are given the chance to succeed.
