Residential Programs
For over 45 years CMHA has been dedicated to improving people's quality of life through our programs and services, including our Residential Programs. CMHA has been entrusted by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) to serve and care for these special populations. For many of these individuals, CMHA is their forever home. However, for others, every day we are empowering them with the skills necessary to step down to a lower level of care.
Residential Life at CMHA...
"Grow Where You're Planted"
CMHA's Residential Programs are not just a service, they are 'home' to our clients. We take pride in providing our residents with a safe, welcoming environment, both indoors and outdoors. Pictured are CCSU student volunteers with our Facilities Manager Gabi Andrukiewicz after successfully planting new flowers and shrubs to beautify one of CMHA's Residential Program locations as part of the University's annual Day of Giving.
There's No Party Like a Highlands Party
An important part of CMHA's Residential Programs is having a little something for everyone, whether that be board games, arts & crafts, trivia, or music (especially Karaoke, an all-around favorite!). When the agency throws a BBQ or picnic for the residential programs, we make sure to go all out! Pictured here is Program Coordinator Bill Lonsdale taking up the role of MC for the annual Highlands 4th of July BBQ.
